Food
Pantry
The mission of The Community Food Pantry is to provide emergency and supplemental food to families or individuals who live in the Mohegan Lake and greater Yorktown-Cortlandt area. In addition, The Food Pantry seeks to provide nutritional, health, educational/employment opportunities, food stamp eligibility and referral information to facilitate our guests in moving beyond the need for emergency/supplemental food. The Community Food Pantry advocates for issues that impact the hungry and the homeless in our country.
The community food pantry based at St. Mary’s is open to any community member who wishes to volunteer or who needs help. Services are provided to those who have need. Leadership of the food pantry is an interfaith and community based venture.
Volunteers are always welcome for set-up from 8 to 9:30 on Saturday mornings, and then supplementary food is provided for those in need from 10 to 11 on Saturdays. Emergency food is available through the parish office during office hours.
